January Reads
Once upon a time, I wanted to review every book I read for fun on here. I got off to a great start…right up until I realized 60% of my reading was made up of manga. I really didn’t want to sit here and review every single solitary manga volume I read. Then my free time started evaporating, and the review practice fell apart. I do log all of my reading into my Goodreads account, but I thought it might be nice to share a list of what I’ve read over the past month.
So…without further ado, what Kiry has read for fun in January 2008!
- Death Masks (Dresden Files #5)- I’ve become a serious Harry Dresden fan over the last couple of months. I even named my new car after his, because in so many ways it’s a lot like the Blue Beetle…except or the Beetle part.
- Blood Rites (Dresden Files #6)- Fair warning: This one’s predictable (if you’ve read the first five books).
- Dead Beat (Dresden Files #7)- I only remember that I read this one in two days because I read it while super stressed out.
- Proven Guilty (Dresden Files #8)- I pretty much read this one in a single day. It was predictable in places, and utterly blindsiding in others. It’s been one of my favorite volumes.
- The Chaco Meridian- Dr. Lekson’s book on the unusual alignment of the three power centers of the Anasazi culture. Wonderful book!
(Sadly, I’ve read more books not for fun this month than I’ve read for fun. When did I become a grown-up?)
