Catching up with the blogosphere
Apparently, I’ve been too busy to post here in the past two weeks. Perhaps once I’ve explained, my readship will forgive me.
1. I am still spending a number of hours searching for and applying for jobs. I’m even braving the world of networking a little bit. Fortunately, Seattle seems to be much more network-minded that San Antonio was.
2. I have been picked up by one staffing agency, who has sent me on one assignment so far. Hopefully, this week is just unexpectedly slow, and they’ll have work for me again next week. In the mean time, I am trying to get on with at least one more staffing agency.
3. I am participating in National Novel Writing Month for the third year. I’m also one of the Municipal Liaisons for Seattle. My current word count and work in progress can be viewed at my writing journal.
4. I am working on the websites. I now have domains for each of them now, and am working on completely new sites for them both. I’m hoping to have at least one of them ready to launch by the end of the month.
5. I am also working on starting up some income streams. I have some queries to send off. I took some pictures of jewelry pieces last week. As soon as I get those pictures off the camera, I’ll be creating a craigslist posting for them. I also updated my tutoring post on craigslist. I do have a couple of leads, but I’m waiting to see if they’ll actually turn into some work for me.
So, that’s basically what’s keeping me from posting here more frequently at the moment. I’m making pretty good time writing my novella, so hopefully I’ll be posting here more often . If nothing else, I’ll be back and posting actively in December.
